Wellbeing Weekly: Young People
16 December 2020
Young people across the world have had their lives turned upside down by the pandemic. Social isolation, a loss of routine, disruption to both formal and informal support have all had a negative impact on young people's sense of wellbeing and mental health. This week we are spotlighting two organisations that are providing free projects and activities to help young people feel connected, supported and creative.
Digital Storytelling with Fearless Youth Association
Fearless Youth Association works with young people to be actively involved in tackling crime and anti-social behaviour.
Their programmes offer young people the opportunity to create music, digital storytelling and event organisation. Their work supports young people to become active citizens, to feel a sense of belonging, to learn from each other and build confidence.
Free. Find out how to enroll here.
Growth Project with The Community Recording Studio
The Community Recording Studio teaches film and video skills as well as music, giving young people access to professional equipment and key industry contacts. They are currently offering a 20 week arts award programme that focuses on developing skills in music production and song writing, alongside goal centred mentoring and career development.
