70 Years On

1 Jan, 1970 at 12:00 am - 21 Sep, 2017 at 12:00 am

Journalist and broadcaster Bidisha discusses the experiences of those who were displaced; left alone to manage families as the men were called away during wartime; and those who were ‘intermarried’. Now in a postcolonial age, how has the position of women shifted globally and for diaspora communities living in the UK today?

She is joined on the panel by artists Gagan Singh (Delhi), Deepa Bhasthi (Forager Collective – Bangalore), Sooree Pillay (writer, Nottingham) and NAE’s Director Skinder Hundal
