Barzakh by Qawwali BEAST

Celebrating the legacy of legendary South Asian singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan on the twentieth anniversary of his death, exhibiting artist, Tasawar Bashir, The Qawwali Research Unit and BEAST have transformed Khan's recordings into hypnotic astral soundscapes, transporting listeners to the Barzakh, Interspace. Join us to experience these compositions and learn about the history of Qawwali.


6.30pm - 8pm: Introductory talk on Qawwali and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan by Tasawar Bashir.


8pm - 9.30pm: View film and hear soundscape of Khan's work using BEAST sound system.
