Craft and Culture Fair

Join us at New Art Exchange for our third year of Craft + Culture Fair!

Capturing the vibrancy of our culturally rich city; makers, designers and performers from across the local community showcase their talents with contemporary jewellery, colourful textile accessories, hair products for afro-caribbean hair, furniture, hand-crafted prints and much more!

Try some delicious street food in our Café Bar. Make some noise on interactive sound sculptures outside our building. Drop into free family creative workshops, free face painting for children and enjoy live music from the Afro-Manding Band and Nottingham Girls School. FREE.

Workshops

12pm €“ 5pm: Ben Gates
Ben presents his amazing sound sculptures outside the front of NAE. Unique, robust handmade instruments, join Ben to make some noise, try out a tune or marvel at the beauty of these sculptures.

12pm €“ 2.30pm & 3pm €“ 5pm: Rachel Ramchurn
A drop in workshop for all the family. Make your own mini drums or ankle bells from found materials, creating your own rhythms and beats.

Performances

2.30pm & 3.30pm: Afro€“Manding Band

Playing intricate percussion from West Africa with a fusion of djembe, sewruba and Mbalax.
