Gallery Tour: Faiza Butt, Jay Pollitt and students from Nottingham Academy

During the months of April and May 2015, Faiza Butt worked closely with two sixth form fashion design students from Nottingham Academy, as well as choreographer Jay Pollitt and resident theatre practitioner Sooree Pillay. They explored the notion of identity with the question: What inspires the creation of art in us and how can we cross media boundaries in order to enrich those narratives?
The workshops culminated in the creation of two uniquely designed garments by students, which will be worn and animated by performers from New Art Exchange’s resident theatre company, YARD during a gallery tour led by Faiza Butt.
