International Women’s Day: Collective Therapy

SheAfriq, a Nottingham based collective of creative women of African descent, bring an afternoon packed with creativity, workshops and activities to empower women. The sessions will focus on health and wellbeing in a relaxed and safe space for positivity, connection and mutual support. SheAfriq aim to create an inspirational environment for women to share their experiences and grow as individuals.

Please note €“ this is a women-only event, but all children are welcome.

Event schedule:

1pm-4pm: Reiki with Solange Carniero

1pm-4pm: Acupuncture consultations with Sarah Elliot

1pm-4pm: Face and hand painting for children with Laura Decorum

1.15pm – 2.15pm: Creative writing workshop with Ioney Smallhorne

1.15pm-3.15pm: Afrotherapy workshop with Honey Williams

2.30pm -3.30pm: ‘Bumbastic’ fitness class with Cherry Mars

3.30pm – 4pm: Networking session (light refreshments included)

There will be various stalls from local creatives. A soft play area and reading section featuring child-friendly books about inspirational women will be available throughout the event in one of the workshop spaces.

Age range: All are welcome (women-only event)
