Life Drawing #1
3 December 2020, 6pm-8.30pm
Nottingham-based Illustrator Kim Thompson leads a series of life drawing workshops building upon themes of movement, identity and personal narrative within the work of Phoebe Boswell. Designed to suit all abilities, this workshop aims to give participants both confidence in draughtsmanship and a chance to experiment with different methods of creatively documenting the human form.
Life Drawing #1 will be an introduction to traditional life drawing practice using portraiture, mark making and automatic drawing techniques.
Kim Thompson is a freelance Artist, Illustrator and Storyboard Artist based in Nottingham. With a variety of previous clients including Jigsaw Menswear, BBC radio 4 Online and Valentino Parfums, Kim's work combined inky mark making with bold digital colour to create bold, versatile works with a nod to her love of retro print design. Aside from drawing and colouring in, Kim enjoys eating, sleeping, B-Movies and vintage horror comics.
