Radical Puppetry,
Ages 7-10

27 May 2020 - 29 May 2020, 10am-12pm

New Art Exchange

Puppets often appear in popular rebellion movements, more recently on demonstrations by Reclaim the Streets and Extinction Rebellion. In these workshops you will create your own puppet, plus explore how masks and puppets provide both a pleasurable escape from the routines of everyday life and a means of disguise to fight for social and environmental change.

This activity is programmed to coincide with the Nottingham Puppet Festival (15 May — 14 June).

Wednesday 27 May, Thursday 28 May, Friday 29 May

Children must attend all three sessions.
