Join us for the second of three workshops exploring the adventures of Anancy – the mischievous spider. Each week we'll be looking at different themes explored in stories about Anancy, a traditional Caribbean folk character.
Where is Anancy going? Listen to the story Anancy Goes Abroad and think about the journeys you and your family have made. The ship Windrush Empire brought over the first group of people from Jamaica, so let's make our own boats and set sail! We're trying some of Anancy's food again this week – let's see what he packed in his bag before his travels.
Part of our celebration of the 70th anniversary of Windrush. We are pleased to welcome celebrated poet, educator and co-founder of Nottingham Black Archive, Panya Banjoko to lead these sessions.
