SKY BLUE, HYSON GREEN – Spoken Word 'Choir': Call for Participants

25 May 2016 - 27 May 2016, 5pm

Celebrate your local area by taking part in a spoken word 'choir' of rehearsed, untrained voices led by artist Rob Flint. If you have a clear and confident voice and you can read basic English, we would like to hear from you.

Working in response to the artworks of Beverley Bennett as part of the upcoming NAE exhibition Dissonance, a group of volunteers will speak in choreographed unison from a script that combines descriptions of Bennett's ink on paper with characteristics of the nearby landscape, and the names of places, shops, businesses, and postcodes throughout the streets local to New Art Exchange.

No training necessary and no singing involved! All ages, accents and genders welcome. Join Rob in participating in this emotionally uplifting ritual.

• Wednesday 25 May, 5pm
• Thursday 26 May, 5pm
• Friday 27 May, 5pm

Final performance
Friday 1 July, 8pm (part of Dissonance exhibition launch)

Please contact if you are interested, and let us know which rehearsal date you are available to attend.
