Nottingham-based artist and illustrator Emily Catherine presents a workshop exploring how great hip hop album art is born – what are the histories and stories behind these iconic covers? Investigating Dean Chalkley's use of film photography for Dizzee Rascal's 2003 Boy In Da Corner and the aesthetics of UK Hip Hop culture and Grime with a rare opportunity to use Black and White instant camera film and paint to create our own distinct Dizzee style portraits.

Workshop is designed for adults (16+ also welcome) and it will be suitable for beginners and more experienced illustrators.
