YOUnique Producers
6 May 2021, 5-6.30pm
Online
We are currently looking for YOUnique Producers for our 2021 festival.
Become one of this year's producers and be part of a small and dedicated team learning all aspects of festival production. From deciding on the theme, through to co-designing the content and delivering the event itself - you'll work with professional artists and experts to create the YOUnique Festival for young people.
You can also work towards your Arts Award or Duke of Edinburgh's Award by being a Younique Producer!
"I enjoyed seeing a festival go from a few sheets of paper to reality and knowing that I had a part in that happening." - YOUnique Festival producer, 2020
YOUnique is an exciting arts and activism festival organised by, and for, young people in Nottingham. It gives you a chance to come together, share your creativity, celebrate who you are and express your views on issues that matter to you.
Last year, the team of young producers chose 'Identity: Who Am I?' as the main theme of the 2020 festival and created their own film about identity with a professional filmmaker.
The finale festival day happened in February 2020, bringing together all the work that young people had created as part of YOUnique projects, including dance performances and a pop-up exhibition. It was a day of workshops, performances and sharings, with an 'Identity Crisis' party happening at the end of the day.
We'll be meeting on the first Thursday of every month via Zoom. No experience necessary, just plenty of ideas, enthusiasm and commitment.
