RESIDE: IONEY SMALLHORNE AND MITA SOLANKY 2 JULY – 3 SEPTEMBER 2022

26 May 2022

NAE is proud to announce Reside, a new programme that invites artists and creative groups to reside in NAE where they can collaborate and connect with our wider community to generate inspiring ideas, develop new initiatives and nurture their practice. Residing at NAE this season are artists Ioney Smallhorne and Mita Solanky. Each will take up residence in our Mezzanine Gallery space, using our building as a base to create work and engage with different groups. Ioney will use the opportunity to continue research on her project titled, Jamaica and Her Daughters; A Collection of Poetry & Prose, whilst Mita will be exploring creative ways to grow, prepare, and eat food in a way that creates a deeper connection with the earth
and with local communities.

See our website and social media for more information and ways to get involved in these residencies
