As well as seeing the latest art exhibition there is always plenty for families to do during a visit to NAE! All of our family events are free and everyone is welcome.
Saturday Art Club
Kick start your weekend with creative family fun! Drop in, Saturdays throughout the season from 10.30am until 12.30pm for free creative family fun inspired by the exhibition. Every session is different, with activities ranging from creating collages to building 3D artworks – plus a free family film screening. This coming season, we're showing The Princess and the Frog.
This summer we invite 11-17 year olds to join our Into the Mix workshops where they'll learn how music and dance connect. If you're a little younger come along to our Future Producers session and learn how to make our own track that you can take away with you.
As well as our usual programme of fun-filled workshops and sessions for families at NAE, we also have a Family Resource Area and Activity Zone that can be explored at any time during opening hours.
We have a family-friendly Café with comfy sofas, a children's menu and activity area, as well as provide bottle warming and facilities for nappy changing. There is step-free access to the Café and Main Gallery, as well as lift access to the Mezzanine Gallery.
Why not travel by tram? You can get unlimited travel for the day for 1 or 2 adults and up to 3 children for £5.
