Further and Higher Education
Young people studying at further and higher institutes of education towards careers in Art and Design will find creative stimulus and innovation in the international exhibitions at NAE. You are welcome to attend as individuals or in groups to look, record and discuss what you see. The Learning Producer is available to give free introductions to all exhibitions, and workshops led by Associate Artists are also part of the offer.
Information about careers in the arts can be provided by staff at NAE including exhibition curators, live art producers, arts marketeers, learning and engagement specialist, and exhibition technical managers. Students will also learn about the benefits of NAE's professional development programmes including Real Creative Futures and the Big House as they make the transition from full-time study to employment.
Gold Arts Award is especially valuable to young artists under 25 years of age who are thinking of applying to University: as well as the certificate they will receive 16 UCAS points when they successfully complete their portfolio. NAE is an Arts Award Supporter and individual tutorials can be provided, free of charge, for any young person who wishes to register. More information about Gold Arts Award can be found here.
Volunteering at NAE provides really valuable work experience for young people over 18 years. More information about volunteering opportunities can be found here.
