NAE is the biggest gallery in the UK that is dedicated to artists and communities from the Global Ethnic Majority. We are a contemporary Art Gallery in the Heart of Hyson Green, a community just outside the city centre which is culturally rich and vibrant. We deliver a variety of exhibitions, artist residencies, public events, workshops, performances, festivals, neighbourhood programmes and young people initiatives.
This is an exciting time to join the New Art Exchange as the gallery is moving through a period of change with ambitious plans for growth and expansion.
Reporting to the Head of Neighbourhoods, the Event and Project Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring the effective planning, coordination, and delivery of a wide range of events-based projects, including workshops, festivals, conferences, and functions.
We are interested in hearing from candidates with a range of experiences who bring the skills needed to effectively organise, plan and deliver events and projects. Applicants need to be able to demonstrate they have hands on experience of delivering large scale events or projects, either in a commercial or community setting and who are passionate about our citizen-led approach.
We particularly welcome applications from underrepresented groups in the creative sector, in particular those from the following: global ethnic majority, disabled, LGBTQIA+ and those facing social barriers to accessing the arts.
