Exhibition Launch: Digging Deep

Join us for a special afternoon as we launch and celebrate the hidden history of former coal miners of African and Caribbean heritage from across the UK. The exhibition will feature a new collection of portraits of former miners, taken by photographer David Severn alongside historical photographs, coal artistry and original mining artefacts. The launch will be accompanied by a poetry performance, speeches from some of the photographed miners and light refreshments.
