Hardeep Pandhal: Performing Heritage

Exhibiting artist Hardeep Pandhal is joined in conversation by Dr Emilia Terracciano to unpick the concept of performance heritage in his work. As an artist of South Asian heritage, what does it mean to ‘perform’ that heritage, identity and cultural background to an audience? How do these participants or spectators consume and shape that performance? How does this performance contribute to the ongoing debate of decolonising art institutions? Dr Terracciano joins us from Oxford University and The Courtald Insititue of Art.
