Harvest Gathering

NAE would like you to join us in welcoming the new season. Harvest Gathering will play host to an afternoon of family friendly craft activities, live performances and food demonstrations that highlight the bounty of autumn. The day will also provide the chance for you to stock up on all your essential vegetables locally grown by members of the Nottingham Growing Network.

12.30pm – 4pm: Wild Combination – Lacto fermentation workshop

A short talk about what lacto fermentation is and get the chance to make your own ferment to take home! We’ll provide jars, veg and a handout for people to take home too.

12pm – 5pm: Autumnal Garland workshop (Drop-in)

Elaine Winter will be leading a create your own garland workshop. She will be using materials that evoke the autumn season. Come and take in the scent of chilli, star anise, cinnamon, rosemary, and pine whilst creating festival wreaths.

2pm: Live performances by Gang Of Angels (GOA)

2.30pm: Talk by Ashley Mortimor

Join Ashley Mortimor in his talk about yearly seasonal cycles within the wheel of the year and the celebrations that are included within the Pagan calendar.

Please note: The Forest Park & Ride Car Park will be closed from Sat 28 Sep – Wed 9 Oct due to Goose Fair.


We recommend travelling to NAE by tram. We are a very short two minute walk from The Forest tram stop.

Very limited accessible parking is available on a first come first served basis. Report to reception or call 0115 924 8630 to access a parking permit for the private car park at the rear of the building.
