Human Destroys, Human Creates

This inaugural exhibition of the newly formed artists’ group BlankAtlas,is a refined visual dialogue derivedfrom informed research and experiences of humanity’s paradoxical need to both destroy and create. It aims to address and bridge social, psychological, global, political, economic and environmental sensibilities.

The debate around this paradox stems from the tension between humanity and nature, survival and peace, destruction and creation that exist symbiotically and despiteeach other.

BlankAtlas is an artists’ group established in 2012 to provide a place for Nottingham’s international artists to come together, challenge, debate, produce, and present their commitment to art without restriction. The group consists of artists from very different backgrounds, both in terms of artistic practice and nationality of origin.
