Sanju Sahai
Tabla player, Sanju Sahai, is well known for mesmerising and captivating his audience with his power, virtuosity and complete spontaneity. As a child prodigy, Sahai gave his first tabla solo performance at a major festival in Benares at the age of 9 and gained his Bachelor of Music at the age of 13 and Master of Music at 18 years of age. He is from the sixth generation of tabla players in the Benares Gharana lineage

Bernhard Schimpelsberger
British-Austrian percussionist, Bernhard Schimpelsberger, composes genre defying music. Through his travels around the world he constantly collects new sounds that enrich his artistic collaborations. Schimpelsberger grew up in Austria deeply rooted in Jazz and Western classical music, but it was his dedicated years of studies in India that shaped his unique approach to rhythm and music. Under tutelage of the legendary table master, Pandit Suresh Talwalkar, Schimpelsberger emerged himself in the Indian rhythmic system and incorporated its poetry and intricacy into his western music making. Bernhard has all toured the globe performing with well-known artists such as Anoushka Shankar, Nitin Sawhney, Akram Khan, Talvin Singh, Susheela Raman and his own group Circle of Sound (feat Soumik Datta).
