Mela: Double Bill Film Screening: The ‘Chai Experience’ and ‘The Namesake’

The Chai experience is a social heritage project, run by Nottingham City Libraries. Their short documentary film captures the experiences of Nottingham’s South Asian citizens as they’ve arrived from India and settled in Nottingham.

Followed by a screening of the ‘The Namesake’, a beautiful film capturing the story of an Bengali couple who migrate from India to New York.
