Re-Frame is a Commission In Residence created by New Art Exchange and FABRIC, designed to support an artist working in the field of dance, movement and/or choreography to experiment with cross disciplinary practice in the context of visual arts and to produce a new piece of work. For Re-Frame, Solomon Berrio-Allen will be in residence at NAE and FABRIC developing his research project entitled Our Acres.

Solomon is an artist of motion, choreographer, and movement facilitator working in the field of dance. His work spans across stage productions and film and he describes his practice as “unfolding the poetry and sensibilities of our human nature and connecting to the heartbeat of the world beyond”. Solomon describes the Our Acres as “opening thought and space to the abundant riches that the ancestors of the diaspora awoke, amongst the indelible colonial history it endured”.

Solomon Berrio-Allen will share a new work in dance and performance titled Our Acres. The piece is the result of Solomon’s ten week artist-in-residency delivered by NAE and FABRIC.

Dates to be confirmed.

Re-Frame is financially supported by Garrick Charitable Trust and Jerwood Arts Development Programme Fund  which champions transformational development opportunities for artists, curators and/or producers in their field and within the first 10 years of establishing their professional practice.
