Please note, as this event falls on Easter Monday, the galleries and CaféBar will be closed. There will be no public access to the building other than to attend this event.
As part of a city-wide series of events organised in partnership with Nottingham City Council, Communities Inc and Stella Vision Films, New Art Exchange are proud to join in commemorating Stephen Lawrence’s life and legacy.
From 12pm €“ 3.30pm, young people aged 12 to 18 years will have the opportunity to get involved in beatbox, spoken word and graffiti art workshops with professional artists Akshay Sharma and Sam Grubb. From 3.30pm €“ 5pm, families and members of the wider community are invited to join in an open discussion, and see a sharing of the work the young people have created through the afternoon’s workshops. Light refreshments will be provided. There is no need to book for this portion of the afternoon.
