Real Creative Futures Showcase

Real Creative Futures launch a new programme of free business support for people in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire with creative or digital businesses.

To kick off the new programme, the RCF team present an evening showcasing the work of people who took part in the programme in 2014-15.

Three businesses will share their experiences of how they transitioned through the programme, how they benefited and where their journey has taken them. The businesses include: a pop-up gallery space, The Anti Gallery; innovative printing company, Dizzy Ink; Theatrician, Louise White and street artist, Dilk. More information can be found below.

The Anti Gallery
Saziso Phiri will present The Anti Gallery, an antidote to the traditional ‘white cube’ style gallery. Working in unconventional spaces, she is passionate about promoting work from people outside of the mainstream art world. Combining a vibrant mix of street art, performance, music, fashion, The Anti Gallery have accomplished a lot working locally, nationally and internationally.

Dizzy Ink
Dizzy Ink share their experience of setting up a new print business in a dizzying world of digital. The graduates from NTU created a thriving business offering Risograph printing and a print school delivering a variety of workshops and DIY print services.

Louise White
Louise White, Theatrician, devises theatre with participation at its heart. Passionate about theatre her work is highly interactive €“ producing works that create a sense of community within the audience. She has developed her work to offer a range of workshops for all ages and offers contemporary artistic consultancy and direction. The work produced was varied, in the form of theatre shows, site-specific performances, performance art, and installation art.

Dilk
The Showcase will provide an opportunity to witness live street by Dilk, the owner of the first and only ‘Montana’ spray paint shop in the UK, based in Hockley. Dilk is an ambassador of graffiti/street art and has an international reputation working in Madrid, Berlin, Rio, Hong Kong and New York.
