YARD Young People’s Theatre

YARD is a creative and supportive hub for children and young people to explore and develop drama and performance skills. We have two YARD groups for different ages, both of which run weekly during term time.

YARD Ages 8-12

Tuesdays 4.15-6.15pm (starting on Tuesday the 31st of October)

The younger YARD group, aged 8-12 years, develops confidence, communication and creative skills through games, story-making, and drama exercises. As well as making new friends, they explore new ways to express themselves and share their own stories. Sessions are safe, fun and stimulate the senses!

“YARD makes me feel more confident, I love every minute of it.” – current participant (9yrs)

The sessions are free, but booking is required.  To find out how to get involved or book your place, please email [email protected]

YARD ages 12-18

Wednesdays, 5.00-7.00pm (starting on Wednesday the 1st of November)

The older YARD group, aged 12-18 years, develops performance skills, explores different styles and devise their own work. Working closely and collaboratively they explore the issues that matter to them and develop their own style as performers and theatre-makers. They create exciting, thought-provoking, and original work.

“Being in YARD and sharing creative ideas inspires me.” – current participant, (15yrs)

The sessions are free, but booking is required.  To find out how to get involved or book your place, please email [email protected]
