Craft + Culture Festival

10 December 2016, 12pm – 5pm

Celebrate the rich cultures and creativity of Hyson Green and Nottingham with a special Craft + Culture Festival.

In time for Christmas shopping, you can pick up a gift that has been handcrafted with love, and reflects a range of different world cultures. Along with stalls, this special event also includes family activities, and live music performances.

12pm – 5pm

Craft Stalls

Stalls include fashion accessories of jewellery, textiles, knitting and bags, to paper-based gifts such as cards, prints and illustrations. Natural beauty products include hair treatments, creams made from African shea butter. There will also be face-painting and opportunities to be decorated with beautiful Indian Mendhi designs!

1pm – 3pm

Family Activities: Card Making

Drop-in to a free workshop for creating greetings cards and Christmas cards using rubber stamp printing.

3pm – 5pm

Live Music: Presented by Cultural Vibrations

Featuring Zimbabwean-born Blessing Magore - one of Nottingham's rising singer-songwriters performing a fusion of Afro-funk/Reggae with hints of samba and zouk; Amie Cherry- an accomplished traditional Gambian singing; and Just Jude - West African kora.
