World Event Young Artists

7 September 2012 - 16 September 2012

Main Gallery + Mezzanine Gallery + Central Gallery

New Art Exchange is proud to support World Event Young Artists (WEYA) – a showcase of the best creative young talent from across the globe. For ten days the festival will take over multiple sites throughout Nottingham providing the opportunity for 1000 young artists from 100 nations to join together and share their creativity on an international platform.

For WEYA, New Art Exchange is hosting a selection of artists from BJCEM - the international biennial platform for young artists from Europe and the Mediterranean. Our exhibition has been especially curated by Claudio Zecchi and Marco Trulli from BJCEM under the theme of 'Disorder'. Over 25 young artists from countries such as Cyprus, Egypt, Kosovo, Syria, Bosnia and Israel will be featured throughout our venue. The work on show will include sculpture, video, drawing, performance and photography.
