All Black Connect Members

Are you ready to inspire?

All Black Connect is an interdisciplinary collective of cultural producers (ages 18-30), conceived by NAE, who curate and produce projects that explore issues impacting young Black people in the UK today.

Led by All Black Connect (ABC), New Art Exchange are kickstarting an ambitious new three-year programme where young Black creatives in Nottingham can become Founding Editors of a new groundbreaking regional, Black-led contemporary art magazine; create and curate digital content for ABC and New Art Exchange; and develop a public offsite exhibition and co-working space in Nottingham for creative communities. We are looking for new members to join the ABC collective to co-produce the project, Thrive!

As part of a participant-led collective, you will be supported in initiating local to international partnerships with other interdisciplinary collectives, young creatives, and cultural institutions championing Black contemporary arts and culture. ABC will be offered mentorship, personal and continuing professional development by taking part in workshops with cultural leaders, changemakers, and young professionals working independently or with leading organisations in the field of media and contemporary arts. For example, this Autumn and Winter there will be closed-door sessions for ABC with Dr. Yvette Mutumba, Artistic Director at Contemporary And (C&) and Contemporary And América Latina (C&AL), Josephine Judd, a former picture editor at British VOGUE and currently at British GQ and WIRED Magazine UK; and Amanda Fernandez, Creative Director/ Head Curator at FerArts.
