Craft + Culture Festival

Celebrate the rich cultures and creativity of Hyson Green and Nottingham with a special Craft + Culture Festival.
In time for Christmas shopping, you can pick up a gift that has been handcrafted with love, and reflects a range of different world cultures. Along with stalls, this special event also includes family activities, and live music performances.
12pm – 5pm
Craft Stalls
Stalls include fashion accessories of jewellery, textiles, knitting and bags, to paper-based gifts such as cards, prints and illustrations. Natural beauty products include hair treatments, creams made from African shea butter. There will also be face-painting and opportunities to be decorated with beautiful Indian Mendhi designs!
1pm – 3pm
Family Activities: Card Making
Drop-in to a free workshop for creating greetings cards and Christmas cards using rubber stamp printing.
3pm – 5pm
Live Music: Presented by Cultural Vibrations
Featuring Zimbabwean-born Blessing Magore – one of Nottingham’s rising singer-songwriters performing a fusion of Afro-funk/Reggae with hints of samba and zouk; Amie Cherry- an accomplished traditional Gambian singing; and Just Jude – West African kora.

Our cafe will be serving delicious world street food and cakes, and there will be family colouring-in activities inspired by our exhibition.
