SOLOMON BERRIO-ALLEN: OUR ACRES: Anew Notation

NAE’s artist-in-residence Solomon Berrio-Allen presents a sharing of Our Acres: Anew Notation , which will be shown publicly for the very first time. Our Acres: Anew Notation  is a performance installation that meets the spirit through dance, movement, music, sound and visual art—coming into question and exploring how the ‘body altar’ of the diasporic people has been affected and how we can hold it sacred again in this western world and its opposing constructs.

This performance marks the conclusion of Re-frame, a Commission-In-Residence created by New Art Exchange and FABRIC, designed to support an artist working in the field of dance, movement and/or choreography to experiment with cross-disciplinary practice in the context of visual arts and produce a new piece of work.
