UNDER THE SPOTLIGHT: PERFORMANCE BY KHAYA

Under The Spotlight is an opportunity for young emerging Black performance Artists, Musicians, Poets, and Comedians from Nottingham and Nottinghamshire to develop and showcase their art, share, and grow their audiences within a supported coaching environment at New Art Exchange.

KHAYA JOB is an artist, singer songwriter and freelance workshop facilitator based in Nottingham. Her work largely focuses on the power of vulnerability and championing voices and stories that are not always heard.

Khaya is best known for founding Femme Fatale Gals, an empowerment platform and annual magazine that widely discusses feminism, race, grief, and trauma.

Khaya has started releasing music that has been recognised by BBC Introducing East Midlands and recently performed in Julius Caesar with the Royal Shakespeare Company at the Theatre Royal as part of the community chorus. Performing arts is something Khaya is really passionate about and looking forward to expanding.
