Mimesis: African Soldier
New artwork by John Akomfrah remembering the millions of Africans who served during the First World War unveiled at IWM London, before touring to NAE in 2019.
FORGOTTEN STORIES
Take inspiration from Mimesis: African Soldier to create a layered collage representation of Africa and Europe; while tracing journeys and stories of Africans who have been forgotten, including those who took part in the First World War.
