QTAC Pop-Up Exhibition Day

9 November 2019, 12PM - 5PM

New Art Exchange

Bringing together art and works by local queer and trans artists, the newly formed Queer and Trans Art Collective aims to showcase and support the creative works of marginalised groups and individuals.

Join them at NAE for a pop-up exhibition in our performance space. With a theme of Identity, this exhibition will bring poignant written and visual works by the queer and trans art communities, with pieces confronting struggles with racism, homophobia, transphobia, isolation, ableism, mental health issues and the euphoria of chosen family.

The exhibition will include pieces by marginalised people including queer and trans people of colour, queer and trans disabled individuals, queer and trans people with mental health issues.

This will be a challenging and thought provoking collection, from artists whose voices are often sidelined, but whose experiences need to be heard.

Drop in; no need to book
