Modern-Day Slavery: How to Make the Antislavery Past Usable

Join us for a series of debates, held in collaboration with the Centre for Research in Race and Rights (C3R) at the University of Nottingham, where leading activists and academics will be in dialogue with the artists who contributed to Get Up, Stand Up!

With leading expert on modern slavery Kevin Bales (Walk Free), Zoe Trodd (C3R) and Faith Gakanje (African Women Empowerment Forum).

Get Up, Stand Up! is a collaborative project between New Art Exchange and NCCL at the Galleries of Justice Museum, exploring notions of International Civil Rights with young people: a series of workshops informed a brand new gallery tour using digital technologies, showing at the Galleries of Justice from March to September 2015 (bookings via Galleries of Justice).
